Transparency & Community Engagement
Trust is built through open communication and shared decision-making. By hosting town halls, empowering PTAs and School Community Councils, and ensuring inclusive processes for school and property planning. We can give our community a real voice in education. Every family, educator, and neighbor deserves to be heard as we shape the future of our schools together.
Host regular town hall meetings and attend community council meetings and community events.
Empower Parent Teacher Associations & School Community Councils to advocate for each school and neighborhood.
Champion an inclusive public process for recently closed schools (e.g., James Madison) to identify community needs and create a community vision for their future.
Engaging with Spanish speaking families, to provide clear, accessible, multilingual communication and assurances that schools are safe spaces.
Utilize the James Madison Elementary property to be a community asset and ensure community input in any decisions.
